Rubbish Removal Brisbane ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. We're a Gold Coast-based waste removal and resource recovery company, and we take the handling of your personal information seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. Information we collect

When you request a quote or use our services, we may collect the following personal information:

person Name — so we know who we're talking to and who's on site.
call Phone number — to contact you about your quote, confirm bookings, and send job updates via SMS.
mail Email address — to send quotes and follow up on enquiries.
location_on Address — we need to know where the job is so we can provide an accurate quote and show up on the day.
photo_camera Photos — images you upload through our quote form help us assess the job and give you a fair price.

We only collect information that's necessary to provide you with a quote or deliver our services. We don't collect sensitive information like financial details, health records, or government identifiers.

2. How we use your information

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

check_circle Sending you SMS updates about your booking (e.g. confirmation, on-the-way notifications)

We won't use your information for marketing unless you've opted in, and we'll never sell your data to anyone. Full stop.

3. Third-party services

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to run our business. These providers may process or store your data on our behalf:

Cloudflare

Hosts our website and provides privacy-focused web analytics. Cloudflare does not use cookies for analytics and does not track individual users across sites.

Airtable

Stores quote requests and job information we need to manage bookings, scheduling, and follow-ups. Your data is stored securely in Airtable's cloud infrastructure.

Twilio

Sends SMS notifications related to your booking (confirmations, updates, follow-ups). Your phone number is shared with Twilio solely for this purpose.

Each of these providers has their own privacy policies and security practices. We've chosen them because they take data protection seriously. We don't share your information with any other third parties unless required by law.

4. Cookies and tracking

We're upfront about what runs on this site. Three tools collect anonymous usage data so we can measure ads we run on Google and Microsoft and improve the site:

analytics Google Tag Manager + Google Ads (container GTM-XXXXXXXX, conversion ID AW-XXXXXXXXX) — measures clicks on our Google ads and which pages convert into quote requests. Sets first-party cookies that expire within 90 days. We do not run remarketing or display ads that follow you around.
analytics Microsoft Advertising (Bing UET) (UET ID 00000000) — same purpose for Microsoft / Bing ads. Sets first-party cookies that expire within 13 months.
verified_user Cloudflare Turnstile on the quote form — a privacy-first replacement for Captcha. May set a short-lived cookie to verify your session is human.

All three tools receive page URLs, referrer, and basic device/browser info. None of them receive your name, email, address, or phone number except where you submit it via the quote form (and that submission is hashed before it's sent to Google/Microsoft for conversion attribution).

Opting out: you can block these via your browser's tracking-protection settings, or use the Google Ads opt-out tool and Microsoft Advertising ad-settings. Blocking them won't affect your ability to use the site.

We don't use Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or other social-network trackers. We don't sell your data to anyone, ever.

5. Your rights under the Australian Privacy Act

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

visibility Access your data — ask us what personal information we hold about you.
edit Correct your data — if something's wrong, let us know and we'll fix it.
delete Request deletion — ask us to delete your personal information where we no longer need it.
do_not_disturb_on Opt out of communications — unsubscribe from any marketing at any time.
report Make a complaint — if you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you can contact us directly or lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

6. Data storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, and disclosure. Your data is stored securely using the third-party services listed above (Cloudflare, Airtable, Twilio), each of which maintains industry-standard security practices including encryption in transit and at rest.

Some of these services store data on servers outside Australia (primarily the United States). By using our services, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to, and stored in, countries outside Australia. These providers comply with data protection standards comparable to Australian requirements.

We only keep your data for as long as we need it to provide our services or meet our legal obligations. When it's no longer needed, we delete it.
